Can Anybody Check the Answers to My Transformation Lab Questions? - biology lab bacteria growth plates
I have a complete analysis in my Biology class laboratory at the transformation we have made in class. It makes us grow the bacteria in 4 different dishes. Each plate is different things, as a LB / Amp +, a LB/Amp-, the third LB = LB and the last one. LB Luria broth, is AMP ampicillin, + means that plasmid, and - no way to plasmid. I wrote my answers, but I would anyone know if I have the right answers.
1. P. What motherboard (s) is transformed bacteria? Why?
A. In the LB / Amp + plate + LB and LB-transformed bacteria. Only LB/Amp- ampicillin nothing, because all the bacteria could have slain. All other panels are resistant to antibiotics.
2. P. What motherboard (s) had a growth of grass? Why?
A. The plate without ampicillin plasmid grass grow or proliferate cells, because so many colonies, we can no longer be distinguished.
3. P. This allowed him the transformed cells (those who have plasmid) plasmid isolate not accept Allowed?
A. The transformed cells were isolated from the plasmid was in a separate kitchen. Each plate was marked to distinguish them. After the separation, are stacked to wrap elastic.
4. P. If you get no results (not) the conversion to happen, what drives your experience?
A. Certain factors may cause the processing can influence a mistake. PuttING too much or too little of plasmid and / or ampicillin in the plates. Lets stay too long in the ice or hot water can also lead to errors. Put it there for a very short period of time is another factor that could affect the experience.
